Steven Worrallo, CEO of PCI Ltd, finished his schooling on the Friday and started working for his father’s company the very next day. The company (Worrallo & Stewart Insulation Ltd) specialised in Suspended Ceiling, Partitioning, and Fire Protection Services.

Working for many years on various sites, Steve developed the skill sets to not only competently install unique design projects, but he also had a developed aptitude for value engineering. His understanding of concepts and drawings through to turn-key projects, made discussions with Clients, Architects, Main Contracts and the Workforce Teams seamless.

In these early years, there wasn’t such a thing as a website. The Yellow Pages and a few other editorials is where the advertising was at.

But the company didn’t look towards advertising at that time. Most of the larger contracts were being provided through Main Contractors. Our company was awarded a contract – we carried out the contract out to a high standard and within the agreed estimated cost. Then the same Main Contractor gave us more work.

Then, ocassionally the Main Contractor would lose one of their Quantity Surveyors to another firm, who in turn would continue to offer us contracts to quote on. So we then had two Main Contractors to work for….

And so the cycle continued, with an ever increasing offering of work, all through recommendation and previous satisfied customers.

In 2005 Steve was successful in securing the largest drylining contract to ever be awarded in the UK for £12 million and was awarded the Mustard Champions of Enterprise Trophy.

We have always maintained the same level of customer service and work excellence, for single day contracts such as your local shop, to major multi-million pound contracts lasting several years.
